Automotive media Carscoops has revealed spy shots of a car that is expected to be the Mazda CX-6e, camouflaged during test runs. The front bumper design is similar to that of a Cadillac, with a two-tier headlight setup, separating the daytime running lights (DRLs) from the main headlights. The roofline near the C-pillar slopes down, resembling a coupe.
The Mazda CX-6e is developed on the EPA1 platform from Changan, the same platform used in the Changan Deepal S07. The dimensions of the Mazda CX-6e are expected to be around 4,750 mm in length and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Based on the Deepal S07 specs, the CX-6e may offer 68.8 kWh and 80 kWh battery options, powered by a rear-mounted electric motor that could produce between 215-255 horsepower.
Inside, the cabin is expected to be very similar to the Mazda 6e, both in terms of materials and screen layout. The Mazda CX-6e will be available in Europe by 2027 and could pose a challenge in the U.S. market due to it being produced in China.
