Volvo Car Thailand has launched the popular plug-in hybrid model, the Volvo XC90, featuring a complete redesign both inside and out, with a starting price of 4,690,000 Baht.
The front now features a larger grille, adorned with diagonal chrome lines and a new Volvo badge. The iconic Thor’s hammer headlights have been redesigned to be slimmer and wider, equipped with Matrix LED technology, providing better illumination and longer reach. The front bumper is fitted with vertical and horizontal air intakes at the lower section, and the hood has been modified to match the car’s new front design. At the rear, the tail lights have been darkened by replacing all chrome parts with black elements.
Powering the Volvo XC90 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine, combined with a plug-in hybrid system, delivering a total power output of 462 horsepower and 709 Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an 18.8 kWh Lithium-ion hybrid battery, offering an all-electric range of 76.7 kilometers, as per the Eco sticker. The front and rear suspension are equipped with air springs, ensuring a smooth ride.

Inside the cabin, the Volvo XC90 features an updated infotainment control system that has been made more user-friendly, similar to the setup in the EX30 and EX90 electric models. It boasts a high-resolution, frameless 11.2-inch vertical touchscreen. The cupholder design has also been revamped to a 2+1 configuration, and the wireless phone charging pad has been relocated to between the front console slots. The XC90 comes equipped with a premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system, featuring 19 high-quality Hi-Fi speakers and a total output of 1,410 watts via the amplifier.
