Changan has launched the DEEPAL HUNTER K50 pickup truck in Thailand. The car comes with Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) powertrain with a 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that generates electricity through a generator to the battery and uses 2 motors. The PLUS AWD model is marketed in Thailand at a price of 1,099,000 baht. It is open for reservation today and will be delivered from April 30, 2025 onwards. The specifications for the Thai market are as follows:
The electric motor provides a maximum electric driving range of 131 kilometers (according to the NEDC standard) and Range Extender technology generates electricity with a 2.0T-GDI engine and R100G generator, which can travel 900 kilometers on a single charge and a full tank of fuel. The four-wheel drive system provides a maximum combined power of 200 kilowatts (272 horsepower) and 470 Newton-meters of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 kilometers/hour. In just 7.9 seconds, the DEEPAL HUNTER K50 has been tested in real-world conditions in Thailand for 40,000 kilometers. The dimensions of the body are 5,380 mm long, 1,980 mm wide, 1,875 mm high, and the wheelbase is 3,180 mm long.
The DEEPAL HUNTER K50 comes with a dual 12.3-inch and 7.5-inch screens, a column-type shifter, and front seats with a vented air system for maximum comfort even in Thailand's hot weather. Noise-reduction technology helps maintain the cabin's quietness at 63 decibels, which is equivalent to a premium sedan, even at 100 km/h. It also supports voice commands in Thai and English, as well as support for control via an application, allowing users to control various functions from outside, such as turning on the air conditioner or checking the battery status. It also has a wireless mobile phone charger and an external power supply (V2L) function with a maximum power of 3.3 kilowatts, supporting a variety of outdoor equipment. Exterior colors are available in Alpine White, Mecha Gray, Ash Black and Pine Green, paired with a Black-Beige interior.
