Automotive media outlet Carscoops has released images of what is believed to be the BMW M3 EV testing at the Nürburgring track in Germany. As for the car's details, not much information has been disclosed yet. The BMW M3 EV will use BMW's new Neue Klasse architecture, which will first be seen in the iX3 before being introduced to the 3 Series family. Regarding the powertrain, the BMW M3 EV may be equipped with four electric motors, delivering a maximum output of 700 horsepower. While this figure is impressive, it still lags behind many of its high-performance electric car competitors in the market. For BMW M family fans, however, the internal combustion engine (ICE) options will remain available. The current model, based on the CLAR platform, will be redesigned with Neue Klasse styling, and the engine will feature a mild-hybrid system to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
