These models reflect the brand’s intelligent mobility vision and innovation strategy under the Re:Nissan business revival plan, which focuses on elevating products and customer experience.
Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa emphasized the importance of Japan to the company’s global success, highlighting plans to offer a full lineup ranging from Kei cars like the Roox to flagship models, backed by advanced technologies, intelligent driving systems, and strong performance.
The new-generation Elgrand continues its legacy as a premium minivan since its debut in 1997. It features an exterior design inspired by Japanese aesthetics, a luxurious lounge-style cabin, zero-gravity second-row seats, premium interior materials, dual 14.3-inch displays, a 22-speaker Bose audio system, and 64-color ambient lighting.
For performance, the new Elgrand adopts Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER system and the latest e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive technology. It also incorporates the newest ProPILOT driver-assist features, including hands-off driving at low speeds and ProPILOT 2.0 for highway driving. The model will launch in Japan in summer 2026.
Nissan will also bring back the legendary Patrol to Japan in the first half of fiscal year 2027, marking its return since the Safari era. Known for its rugged durability and advanced technology, the Patrol will cater to both off-road adventures and everyday urban driving, reinforcing Nissan’s commitment to the SUV segment.
The refreshed Ariya will debut later this fiscal year with a more premium exterior, a Google-powered infotainment system, added Vehicle-to-Load functionality, and revised suspension tuning for a smoother, quieter ride—designed to meet the needs of Japanese EV customers.
