ECD Automotive Design, a U.S.-based company specializing in custom-built restorations and modifications of Land Rovers, has unveiled its latest project vehicle: “Project Wilder.”
Project Wilder is a specially modified Land Rover Defender, considered the most extreme off-road build ever created by ECD. What immediately sets it apart is a supercharged V8 engine from GM, capable of producing over 700 horsepower. Power is delivered through a 6-speed T56 manual transmission, and a Borla Sport exhaust enhances the aggressive sound. ECD stripped down the original structure and coated the chassis with a special material known as Raptor Liner. The build also includes air suspension, Brembo brakes, and a fully repainted exterior in Eastnor Green, accented with Nara Bronze trim and 20-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich tires.
The interior has been completely reworked, featuring Buffalo Distressed Cuoio leather with honeycomb stitching, Sapele walnut wood trim, Recaro seats, an Alcantara headliner, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. It also includes a brand-new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Focal speakers with two subwoofers, a panoramic glass roof, and convenience features like power windows, a reverse camera, and blind spot monitoring.
