The Honda Fit in the Chinese market, produced by the GAC-Honda joint venture, has received a facelift, revealing a front-end design so heavily updated that it barely resembles the previous model.
The new split-style LED headlights are slimmer and sharper, complementing the redesigned front bumper intake and sculpted hood. While the side profile remains mostly unchanged, the rear sees a subtle update with the addition of a plastic extension on the rear bumper, giving it a diffuser-like look. As for dimensions, the updated Fit measures 4,196 mm in length — just slightly longer than the outgoing model.
Powering the facelifted model is the same naturally aspirated 1.5-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine, but it has been tuned to produce 122 horsepower, a modest increase of 6 hp over the Japanese version. The engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission.
Unlike the Japanese model, which offers an all-wheel drive (AWD) option, the version sold in China is available exclusively with front-wheel drive (FWD).
