2026 Jeep Compass Unveiled – Electric Powertrains Offered, Up to 650 km Range on a Single Charge

7 May 2025| Number Of Visitors 165

Jeep has launched the new-generation Compass, aiming to make it one of the brand’s most globally marketed models. The vehicle has been completely redesigned with a tougher, more modern look and larger overall dimensions. It is built on Stellantis’s new STLA Medium platform and offers a range of powertrains, including mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric versions.

On the outside, the new Compass features a sharper design inspired by the Jeep Avenger and Wagoneer S. It includes squared wheel arches and shorter front and rear overhangs, making it look more agile. Aerodynamic improvements, such as active grille shutters, help reduce drag. The Compass uses the STLA Medium platform, also found in other Stellantis vehicles like the Peugeot 3008/5008, Opel Grandland, and Citroen C5 Aircross.

Powertrain options include e-Hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric models. In markets outside Europe, non-electrified gasoline engines may still be offered, but the main focus is on electrified power. Both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions will be available. Electric variants range from a 213-hp front-wheel-drive model to a 375-hp all-wheel-drive version. The AWD model uses a specially developed rear electric motor for the Compass, providing up to 65 hp and 232 Nm of torque.

For charging, the Compass supports 160 kW DC fast charging, allowing 20–80% charge in just 30 minutes. An onboard charger supports up to 22 kW. The fully electric model offers up to 650 km of driving range under the WLTP cycle.

Inside, the Compass features a 10-inch digital driver display and a large 16-inch infotainment screen, placed above physical buttons and a rotary knob. The center console and dashboard are styled with aluminum-like finishes, with ample storage space throughout the cabin.
