Isuzu Trucks has introduced the latest model in its N Series light-duty truck line-up – the NKR, which is now the smallest member of the N Series family. The new model is scheduled to arrive in Australian showrooms around January 2026, with pre-orders opening in Q3 of 2025.
Although payload and towing capacity figures have not yet been disclosed, recommended retail pricing for the NKR starts at AUD $73,361 (approx. 1,540,000 THB) for the NKR 65-150 MT D25, and goes up to AUD $77,431 (approx. 1,630,000 THB) for the NKR 65-150 DT D34.
In Australia, the Isuzu NKR’s price range places it in direct competition with popular dual-cab utes, such as the Ford Ranger Wildtrak and even the top-spec Toyota Hilux GR Sport.
While Isuzu has yet to reveal full details on the next-generation N Series, the current models offer payload capacities ranging from 710kg (NPR 45-155 AMT 4x4 Servicepack-X) up to 4,655kg (NQR 87-190 AMT Tipper).
Powering the 2025 Isuzu N Series is a new 3.0-litre turbo-diesel 4-cylinder engine called the ‘4JZ1’, paired with the latest 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
According to multiple Isuzu Trucks executives, safety has been a top priority in the development of the new N Series range. All models come equipped with the latest active and passive safety features, including anti-slip regulation (ASR), anti-lock braking system (ABS), automatic lighting, and Isuzu’s standard Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
