In the U.S. market, Toyota bZ4X has been rebranded as Toyota bZ, arriving with updates to both its design and performance. The front grille adopts the “Hammerhead” design, a styling language seen across several current Toyota models. The headlights have been redesigned to appear sharper, accompanied by a newly styled front bumper. New alloy wheels are also introduced, available in 18- and 20-inch sizes. While most of the exterior remains similar to the previous model, a key update includes the option to have body-colored fenders. However, this option is limited to only three exterior colors: Wind Chill Pearl, Heavy Metal, and Black, which somewhat restricts customization choices.
Inside the cabin, the dashboard has been redesigned and now features a 14-inch infotainment display as standard across all trims. This is complemented by dual wireless charging pads and customizable ambient lighting with 64 color options. Additionally, Toyota has equipped the vehicle with paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel, allowing drivers to manually adjust the level of regenerative braking.
Toyota bZ continues to be built on e-TNGA platform, but significant enhancements have been made to both powertrain and battery options.
- AWD model is powered by dual electric motors that produce a combined output of 338 horsepower (an increase from 215 hp in the previous generation).
- FWD variant features a single electric motor delivering 221 horsepower (up from 201 hp previously).
The AWD version also retains the X-Mode system, which enhances traction on slippery surfaces. In terms of range, the new model offers up to 505 kilometers on a single charge, thanks to a slightly larger 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, available in both FWD and AWD configurations. Additionally, a base FWD model is available, equipped with a 57.7 kWh battery, providing a driving range of 380 kilometers.
