Interior of the Mazda EZ-60 revealed, features a 26-inch central display with 5K resolution.

An automotive media outlet from China has revealed the interior of the Mazda EZ-60 ahead of its official debut, along with some technical specifications. The Mazda EZ-60, which will be sold outside China under the name CX-6e, is a large SUV available in both fully electric (EV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) configurations.

Inside, the cabin features a two-tone color scheme in white and purple. A standout feature is the massive 26.45-inch display with 5K resolution, which functions as both the central touchscreen and the front passenger display. There’s no traditional instrument cluster for the driver; instead, information is projected via a head-up display. Physical buttons and switches appear to be minimal.

The sound system includes 23 speakers and supports Dolby Atmos, while rear-seat passengers get their own touchscreen to control climate and entertainment settings. The door panels are seamlessly integrated into the dashboard design and house displays that show live footage from the digital side mirror cameras.

The EREV variant of the Mazda EZ-60 is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 96 horsepower, which functions solely as a generator (unlike the rotary engine used in the MX-30 R-EV). This engine charges a 254-horsepower electric motor that drives the vehicle.

The EZ-60 is equipped with a 31.73kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing up to 160km of electric-only range under the CLTC cycle. The total driving range, including the range extender, has not yet been disclosed.

Underpinning the vehicle is the EPA1 platform, developed by Mazda’s Chinese manufacturing partner, Changan. This same platform is used in the Mazda EZ-6 liftback (to be sold internationally as the Mazda 6e), as well as in several Changan models, including those under its Deepal sub-brand.

Compared to the Deepal S07, which shares the same platform, the Mazda EZ-60 is 100mm longer, 5mm wider, and 5mm taller.

Boot capacity is 350 litres, expandable to 2,036 litres with the rear seats folded flat. Additionally, the electric version of the EZ-60 features 126 litres of storage space under the bonnet, offering more practicality for everyday use.
