The European-spec Ford Ranger MS-RT has received a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. At its core is a 2.3-litre EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 75 kW (101 PS) electric motor, delivering a combined output of 281 hp and 697 Nm of torque. Power is sent through a 10-speed automatic transmission with a full-time e4WD system.
An 11.8 kWh battery enables up to 40 km of all-electric driving.
Exterior and interior design remain identical to the diesel V6 version, with the only differences being the side-mounted charging port and a Hybrid badge at the rear. The vehicle sits 40 mm lower than the standard Ranger and features a sport suspension setup. The MS-RT package includes wide fender flares, a honeycomb grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, a diffuser, ducktail spoiler, and 21-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, along with a new “Turini Purple” body color.
Inside, the cabin features synthetic leather and suede upholstery with blue stitching, a sports steering wheel, bucket seats, and illuminated MS-RT branding on the door sills.
