The company states that as part of Nissan's global restructuring measures and business changes in the ASEAN region and Thailand, it will consolidate some vehicle production processes from Plant 1 to Plant 2 in Thailand. Additionally, production lines will be adjusted starting from Q1 of fiscal year 2025 as part of efforts to improve fixed cost efficiency and prepare for the production of new vehicle models in Thailand.
Plant 1 will cease vehicle assembly and will be restructured to focus on body assembly, plastic parts assembly, stamping, and internal logistics operations. Thailand will continue to be a key market for Nissan in the Southeast Asian region, and the company remains committed to growing and developing its brand and business in the ASEAN and Thai markets.
