The 2025 Toyota HiAce has received a range of new feature upgrades. At present, Toyota has only released details for the HiAce Van and Crew Van variants, with no information yet on the Commuter version. First customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in late August.

Key updates for the 2025 Toyota HiAce include:

• Adaptive Cruise Control now standard across the range — operates at high speeds in manual variants, and at all speeds in automatic variants.

• Electric Power Steering has been added, enabling the inclusion of Lane Trace Assist, which helps keep the vehicle centred in its lane when Adaptive Cruise Control is activated.

• Safe Exit Warning uses the blind-spot monitoring system to sound an alert if passing vehicles or cyclists are detected, preventing doors from being opened into their path.

• Emergency Driver Support activates when Adaptive Cruise Control is on and the system detects the driver is unresponsive. It first issues audio and visual warnings, and if there’s still no response, it turns on the hazard lights and brings the vehicle to a safe stop.

• A centre airbag has been added, increasing the total number of airbags to eight. The Crew Van, with its second-row seating for a total of five seats, gains two additional side airbags for a total of 10.

• The instrument cluster display has been upgraded from 4.2 inches to 7.0 inches.

• Electric Parking Brake added.

• New air-conditioning refrigerant introduced.

• Black exterior mirrors and two rear windscreen wipers for SLWB models equipped with barn doors.

The HiAce is offered with a single engine — a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel producing 176 hp, with 420 Nm of torque in manual form and 450 Nm in automatic form. Transmission options include a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, with rear-wheel drive as standard. Two wheelbase lengths are available — LWB and SLWB — with the LWB offered in both Van and Crew Van configurations.
