KIA has unveiled the EV2 concept car, positioning it in the market as an affordable B-SUV.

The EV2 will be a small SUV positioned below the EV3 and EV4, making it an additional option to the Kia Stonic with a gasoline engine.

Although the EV2 Concept on display closely resembles the production model, some elements from the concept car are expected not to be included in the final production version.

For example, the rear-hinged doors with the missing central B-pillar, the exposed raised headlights without covers, and the absence of door handles.

This concept follows the development of KIA's distinctive 'Opposites United' design language, which has been applied to new models and mid-life facelifts across most of KIA's lineup.

Inside, the EV2 will feature a dual-screen setup, consisting of a digital cluster panel and an infotainment touchscreen. The interior will use cloth materials for the dashboard, with blue upholstery, orange accents, and a white LED strip running across the front and rear door trims.

The rear seats will fold upwards rather than down, similar to Honda’s seat folding mechanism, allowing the front seats to slide back as far as possible. This provides passengers with ample space to relax in their seats and stretch out their legs fully.

Other displayed amenities include luggage compartment dividers and straps, message lighting that can display text through the front windows to communicate with pedestrians and other road users, and removable triangular speakers.

More details about the production model of the Kia EV2 will be confirmed as it approaches its launch in Europe and other regions next year.
