The electric vehicle brand Ora, under the umbrella of Great Wall Motor (GWM), has officially launched a new model in China called the Ora 5, positioned as a compact electric SUV (Compact EV SUV).
The Ora 5 continues the brand’s signature “Cat Family” design language but features a sportier and more modern look. It comes with a closed front grille, large round headlights, and a sharper front fascia compared with the Ora Good Cat. The front bumper has been redesigned with larger air intakes and side air ducts to improve aerodynamics.
The vehicle rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped in PRINX 225/60R18 tyres. At the rear, it adopts a minimalist design with horizontal taillights, a rear spoiler, and badges displaying “GWM”, “ORA 5”, and “Great Wall Motor.”
The Ora 5 is equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR system working together with front, side, and rear cameras to support advanced driver assistance systems. It is expected to feature GWM’s third-generation Coffee Pilot Ultra system, capable of Autopilot driving both in urban environments and on highways.
Inside, the Ora 5 introduces a brand-new cabin design with large textile panels on the dashboard and door trims. Three interior colour schemes are available: Dawn White, Noon Brown, and Midnight Grey. The cockpit is equipped with a floating full LCD instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen running Coffee OS 3.0, and support for Coffee GPT with DeepSeek integration.
Additional interior equipment includes a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a column-mounted gear selector, a wireless charging pad, cup holders, and multiple storage compartments. It also features a 1.65-square-metre panoramic glass roof, a 64-colour ambient lighting system, and foldable rear seats to expand cargo capacity.
The Ora 5 is powered by an electric motor producing 150 kW (203 PS), paired with an LFP battery supplied by SVOLT. While the official battery capacity and range have not been announced yet, a similar setup in the Ora Lightning Cat offers two battery options:
