The tests were conducted using the 2024 Cybertruck Cyberbeast, the top-tier model, and were carried out last December. While the results span dozens of pages, the frontal barrier impact test indicated that "the windshield did not shatter into the cabin." It also noted that both the driver and passenger side doors remained closed during the impact and were operable after the collision.
Although the knee airbags for the driver and passenger did not deploy, Tesla stated that this was “by design for this specific test configuration.” However, the front airbags did deploy to protect the driver and passenger dummies.
In the rigid pole side impact test, there was nothing particularly noteworthy, but the side airbags deployed as expected. Similarly, the moving deformable barrier side impact test did not reveal anything unusual either.
