BMW has unveiled the 540i xDrive Legacy Edition, a special model that will be sold exclusively in Canada, with only 151 units produced nationwide.
The highlight of the 540i xDrive Legacy Edition lies under the hood. This is the first model in the current 5-Series generation available in Canada to feature a six-cylinder engine without a plug-in hybrid system. It’s powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine delivering 375 horsepower and 539 Nm of torque, supported by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Power is sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
For buyers looking to make their Legacy Edition stand out, BMW offers a selection of Individual Manufaktur paint colors at no additional cost. The car shown is finished in Maldives Black II Metallic, but other exclusive colors include:
- Oxford Green Metallic
- Black Blue (non-metallic)
- Cinabar Red
- Grigio Telesto Pearl Effect Metallic
- Frozen Black
- Sepang Bronze Metallic
All units come standard with 21-inch Individual wheels and the M Sport Pro Package. Customers can choose between red or blue M Sport brake calipers. Additional standard features include a Bowers & Wilkins 18-speaker surround sound system and ventilated front seats.
BMW has yet to announce official pricing for the limited edition, but it’s expected to start at over CA$100,000 (around 2.4 million baht). Orders are now open, with deliveries set to begin in Q4 of this year.
