The Jaecoo J7 will be available in Australia in two variants: the Core 2WD and the Track 2WD, both of which are expected to be the entry-level models of the Jaecoo J7.
The Core model is estimated to be priced between $35,000 and $40,000 (approximately 750,000 - 860,000 THB), while the Track model is also expected to be priced under $40,000 (around 860,000 THB).
The model sold in China is named the Chery Tansuo 06, offering engine options including a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configuration, with either a turbocharged petrol engine or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain.
The powertrain details for the Australian market are not yet confirmed, but it is expected to feature a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine, producing a maximum output of 183 horsepower at 5,500 RPM and a peak torque of 275 Nm at 2,000-4,000 RPM.
This engine will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the claimed fuel efficiency is 7.0L/100km or 14.3km/L.
