Xpeng has officially unveiled the G7, a mid-size all-electric SUV, now available for pre-order at a starting price of 235,800 yuan (approximately 1.06 million baht). The vehicle comes equipped with several new technologies making their debut for the company, including an AR-HUD system developed in collaboration with Huawei and a fully vision-based driver assistance system powered by Xpeng’s in-house “Turing” AI chips.
The Xpeng G7 is available in two variants: Max and Ultra, both rear-wheel drive. There are two battery options: 68.5 kWh and 80.8 kWh. The maximum CLTC-rated driving range reaches up to 702 km with the larger battery and 18-inch wheels. The Ultra variant comes equipped with three Turing AI chips, delivering over 2,200 TOPS of computing power—claimed to be equivalent to nine Nvidia Orin-X chips. It supports advanced driver assistance features such as city NGP, highway NGP, and intelligent parking. Xpeng confirms that the G7 will support Level 3 autonomous driving via its camera-only XNGP system, eliminating the need for LiDAR.
The vehicle is powered by a 218 kW (296 PS) rear-mounted electric motor. The CLTC range varies based on wheel size and battery configuration: 602 km or 702 km with 18-inch wheels, and 577 km or 677 km with 20-inch wheels.
The G7 adopts Xpeng’s “X Face” design language, featuring full-width daytime running lights, split headlamps hidden within air ducts, and an active front grille. It comes with frameless doors equipped with soft-close functionality, flush door handles, and a choice of 18- or 20-inch wheels. There are six available exterior colors. At the rear, the G7 sports a full-width taillight integrated into the rear fenders and tailgate.
Inside the cabin, there is no traditional instrument cluster. Driving data is displayed via a 15.6-inch floating central screen, which also handles infotainment. Interior materials include real wood, metal, and genuine leather, with four interior color options. The Nappa leather seats offer ventilation, heating, and massage functions. Additional features include dual 50W wireless charging pads at the front, a panoramic sunroof, a 7.1.4 surround sound system with 20 speakers, ambient lighting with 256 color options, a digital rearview mirror, a password-protected electronic glovebox, and an 8-inch rear control screen. The second row includes a cooled wireless charging pad and a foldable table with magnetic mounts behind the front passenger seat.
A major highlight is the debut of Xpeng’s “Light Pursuit Panoramic” AR-HUD system, co-developed with Huawei, offering an 87-inch field of view. Xpeng also introduced a new VLA-OL architecture designed to enhance the autonomous driving system’s ability to learn and make decisions in real time.
