The base S trim uses a 52 kWh battery and a 174 hp motor. All U.S.-market versions come with an NACS port for Tesla Supercharger compatibility and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability.
The new Leaf adopts a fastback crossover design, measuring 4,404 mm in length, with a more aerodynamic profile than the outgoing hatchback. LED headlights are standard across the range, while the Platinum+ gains exclusive taillights inspired by the Nissan Z. Wheel options include 18-inch steel wheels with aero covers on the S and S+, 18-inch alloys on the SV+, and 19-inch alloys on the Platinum+.
The interior is roomier thanks to a flat floor and newly designed seats. All trims feature a digital cockpit, with the S and S+ getting dual 12.3-inch displays, while the SV+ and Platinum+ receive larger 14.3-inch screens.
The range-topping Platinum+ adds a panoramic roof with adjustable transparency, a head-up display, multi-color ambient lighting, a motion-activated power liftgate, and a 10-speaker Bose audio system. A full suite of ADAS driver-assistance systems is standard across all trims.
