BYD Sealion 06 Set to Launch in China with Fully Electric and PHEV Powertrains, Featuring God’s Eye C System

BYD will officially launch the Sealion 06 EV and Sealion 06 DM-i in China on July 24. Previously, the price range was announced at 160,000 – 200,000 yuan (approximately 720,000 – 901,000 baht) at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show.

The EV version is developed on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo, while the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version uses BYD’s 5th-generation DM-i technology.

Both versions use the latest design language from BYD’s Ocean Series, featuring a closed front grille, parallel headlights, dual lower air intakes, wave-style taillights, and semi-hidden door handles. The entire series is expected to come with the advanced driving assistance system God’s Eye C (DiPilot 100), which currently supports only NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) for highways.

The plug-in hybrid version comes with a 1.5-liter engine producing a maximum output of 74 kW (99 hp), paired with an electric motor producing 160 kW (215 hp). It uses a Blade Battery with a capacity of 18.3 kWh or 26.6 kWh, offering a pure electric driving range of 93 km and 130 km, respectively.

The all-electric version comes in both single-motor and dual-motor variants, with the following details:

Single-motor version
- Maximum output: 180 kW (241 hp) or 170 kW (228 hp)
- Blade Battery capacity: 65.28 kWh or 78.72 kWh
- Driving range: 520 km or 605 km

Dual-motor version (all-wheel drive)
- Front motor: 110 kW (148 hp)
- Rear motor: 180 kW (241 hp)
- Blade Battery capacity: 65.28 kWh or 78.72 kWh
- Driving range: 520 / 550 / 605 km

The interior uses a T-shaped layout with a large floating central control screen, a rectangular instrument panel, and a four-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. The center console includes two cupholders, a rotary knob to control the refrigerator temperature, and wireless charging pads. The refrigerator can store about four bottles. Additionally, the front trunk has a volume of 142 liters, while the rear trunk offers 757 liters and can be expanded to 1,630 liters when the second-row seats are folded down.
