BYD SEAL 5 DM-i SUPER HYBRID is a midsize sedan powered by a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. It features BYD’s Ocean Aesthetics design language with a frameless Dot Matrix grille, full LED headlamps and taillights, smoked LED taillight bar with sequential rear turn signals, and 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/55R17 tires.

Powertrain

It uses a 1.5-liter Xiaoyun 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine producing 72 kW (97 PS) and 122 Nm of torque, paired with an electric motor delivering 145 kW (197 PS) and 300 Nm of torque. Combined output is 160 kW (217 PS) and 300 Nm, driving the front wheels. 0–100 km/h acceleration is 7.5 seconds. Suspension: MacPherson strut (front), Torsion beam (rear). Braking: 4-wheel disc brakes (front ventilated).

Battery & Electric Range

• Premium Model: Equipped with an 18.3 kWh Blade Battery providing 120 km electric range (NEDC). AC charging only (up to 6.6 kW). Supports 2.2 kW V2L output. Comes with a 12V LFP battery that can self-charge from the main pack (5+ years claimed lifespan, 6-year/150,000 km warranty).
